However, to improve things for the future, I further covered the FOB key with a transparent wide range. Give a few rounds. It makes the key to look rustic, but I’m sure it will help it last long.
The same thing happened for my right wing mirror. Only the back cover fell. But Hass wants to replace the whole assembly costs 4000 Rs. If anyone knows a web site where I can buy the cover, please notify me. I am good and with cheerful extra, too, if I don’t whiten. Mine is the previous i20 ASTA (pre-non-non-version version).

Thank you for sharing a wonderful DIY. The key to my Chevy Cruze was also damaged the same as the guys at the Chevy ASC service. New ASC focus was provided after a month of damage, hacking with GM to prove that the damage was done in the end, and then had to visit twice to program the key.
Because the price of the new key FOB for i20 when new for Chevy Cruze costs only INR 6500 (as stated by Chevy ASC).
